Everytime I start my laptop, I get a window in the lower left corner that
warns that my computer may be at risk because there is no firewall
activated. But when I go to Windows security, the window there shows that
the Windows Firewall is ON. Why is there a dispute over whether the
firewall is ON or OFF? How do I solve this problem so the difference of
'opinion' goes away? Thanks in advance....snaggle

In Control Panel click on Security Center. In the new
window that opens up on the left side click on "Change
the way Security Center alerts me". From there you have 3
options.
