Ok here my question very simple :p  I want a:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Dual Core Processor Socket AM2 Windsor 2.6GHZ 2X512KB 89W 90NM

Its only work with some AM2 compatible Boards i want to use a ATI 1900XT bu these AM2 board dont support teh Crossfire. Ive looked here on Tom's charts and the differemce between Crossfire or SLI modes VS single card are not that big and anyway my monitor is a Viewsonic VX922 his native resolution is 1280/1024 so ill never play with a bigger resolution. So what i want to know is am i better to buy a:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Dual Core Processor Socket AM2 Windsor 2.6GHZ 2X512KB 89W 90NM With a AM2 Board without Crossfire mode or im better to buy a:

AMD Athlon 64 4000+ Processor S939 San Diego 2.4GHZ 1MB L2 Cache 90NM With crossfire mode!

I do usual thing on my PC but mostly play at games like BF2, COD2, WOW' Fear etc ...

Tx for reading my question im really lost now :p

At a resolution of 1280X1024 or less there is no need for crossfire or sli. You will see a big gain with 2 GPU,s at high res 1600x1200 or higher. I was looking at the same thing when I got my card. Go for the AM2 board without the crossfire! Beter upgade path!

sli/crossfire only pays off at really high resolutions.
Only pays to get crossfire if you have something like a 30" monitor.
So if its a choice of faster cpu vs crossfire get the faster cpu.
