New build in a few days and it's my FIRST SATA HD install ever.

It's been over 5 years since I built a system and a few things have changed :)

I have read a lot of different things about the install of Windows XP Pro SP2 on new SATA drives but I am still uncertain whet I will need with this board.

I have installed the drive using the ORANGE cable that came with the MB and plugged it into ICH7R SATA 1, is this correct? what is the RED SATA cable for? (only this one HD, CD/DVD is on CDROM ribbon cable that came with MB plugged into ICH7R IDE 40 pin PRI_IDE) is this correct also?

Do I need to make a Floppy with the Asus SATA drivers on it and press F6 during XP setup to install the SATA drivers?

Or will XP Pro SP2 recognise the P5W DH Deluxe and Seagate 320gb SATA and install the correct SATA drivers without having to use the floppy method?

Anyone here have first hand experiance with this combo?

Thanks for the help.
