I have AMD Sempron 2.2
512 Ram
HD 80, 120
VGA 4400 128

I was thinking of upgrading. I have 805 D which I got it almost free paid like $43, so I was thinking of OC it to 3.0 and get 1G ram, VGA 6500 and HD 250 SATA. I really don't do much just browsing the net but most of the time I do manythings together like burn dvd, copy, winamp, downloading, so this why I want to upgrade and sell my old stuff while i can get few cash. Is it better to stay with 805 or sell it for a profit and buy the 945 3.4 2x2mb without OC it, or stay with the 805.

as long as you are not planning on video editing/rendering, 805d will do the job

Was thinking of selling the 805 now higher than $43 that I paid , and wait like 2 month while the 3.4 gets a little cheaper. At this moment it's like just $80 diffrence. Also was thinking maybe can OC the 3.4 to 3.8.

if you are going to use 805 for something other than burn dvd, copy, winamp, downloading, 805 is a horrible cpu even if you oc the hell out of it :!:

if you are going to use 805d for burning dvds, browsing web, winamp, downloading, than you don't have to oc it.

for other use like gaming or video editing this processor is no good

I think the e6300 is like $183 but they don't sell it back here. Does it need special mb.

you need a mobo that supports c2d, like asus p5b or gigabyte ds3

But both of these motherboards are fairly expensive!

He could get a C2D mobo, use his D805 in it then get a C2D E4300 (the cheap one) when that comes out in Q1 '07.
