Hello everyone I'm new to the boards and looking into building my first system. I've done some research and had it close to being final on getting the 4000+ X2 (for the 1MB of cache per core) but after the new CPU chart was released I noticed the 4200+ X2 outperformed it in many different applications.

I hope I don't sound silly or too much of a newb but if I plan on overclocking either CPU, would the 4000+ X2 perform better overclocked because of the 1MB per core vs. the 4200+ X2's 512k per core?

Sorry for creating another thread like this because I'm sure this isn't the first but I had a difficult time searching :(

The 4200 X2 would probably be the better bet, however either one would do quite well.
