Will my 2700+ be a bottleneck if I upgrade my video card?

I was thinking of upgrading my video card to a newer one, somewhere in the $150 range. But before I do that I thought I'd get some opinions on whether this will be a useless upgrade due to my old CPU...so, if I just upgrade my graphics card, will my 2700+ become a bottleneck in your opinion?

If so, is it troublesome to upgrade the CPU? I imagine I'd have to get a new mobo if I did, so that's quite a bit more money than just upgrading my GPU...

A $150 card would be a good upgrade, it will depend on the game/settings. Of course its performance will be reduced, but not by too much. I would suggest looking into a x800 GTO, probably the best for the money, at the moment.
