Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.dns (More info?)
For information sake only.
I know this applied to Windows 2000 but I do not know if it applies wo
Windows 2003.
If you install DNS before Active Directory and configure DNS as a
Standard Primary Zone (since AD is not installed yet) then install AD
the DNS configuration will be changed to Load Zone Data on Startup to
Active Directory and the Registry even though the DNS zone was NOT
configured to be integrated with Active Directory. To resolve these
errors change the Loan Zone Data on Startup back to A File.
