Hi There,
i am currently building a system out of old parts just to play around with and need some assistance.
the Elitegroup 661FX-M7 motherboard im using wont recognise hard drives any bigger than 127 gig.
the drive is a 200 gig western digital, formatted- ntfs..
It says its 200gig in the bios and an ide utility i have also says its 200,
but -right click properties says its 127..?
its that the true size or not?
i have winxp -sp2 installed
.any help would be apreciated.!

its not sata.and apart from showing up as 127 gig it runs fine,so i dont think its driver problems.

Did you install it with an SP2 disk? Or did you install it with a pre SP1 disk and then upgrade to SP2. I'm thinking you did the latter. That's the problem.
