I recieved my SATA hard drive and tried mounting it. Unless past hard drives though, this one didnt want to go in. The case has small metal platforms that I think side in the slots on the side of the hard drive. Problem is using both platforms wont work.

I tried resting the hard drive on the platform things like how I usually mount drives but the screw holes didnt line up and now one side of the hard drive is all scratched up.

Maybe you should let us know what case you have... the mounting for an IDE hdd and a sata hdd are exactly the same.

I got it now. In the hard drive bays the holes are elevated so that was causing the problem. I got the drive mounted now.
