I figure the rest doesnt really matter much, ie DVD driver, KB, Mouse.
The

I was thinking about a graphics card but I have fallen out of the loop not sure which I should go with...I also went with a mobo that is set up for Nvidia instead of ATI just becuase I heard that the graphic card within my price range are dominated by Nvidia. Be as harass as possible and remember I was only alloted 8-900 dollars.

Agreed on the hard drive. Why not get a SATA 2 drive? You could get the same drive with a 250 Gb capacity for the same price?

Your sister deserves AM2 and dual core. You can add about $80 and get a dual core chip and good DDR2 533 RAM. You can even shave some dollars off by getting a non-SLI board (unless your sister's a gamer). A good single video card AM2 board is around $60.

good adivce from baron right there, x850xt is a great buy and does better than a 7600gt in some cases to most, it jsut lacks sm 3.0 but a 7600gt can't take full advantage of that anyway.
