Specs below, i ran this test with all normal stuff running in the background. Even with a few explorers open. I estimate a half sec or two difference if i were running with nothing turned on.

Come on ppl Post ur results or are u scared????

Perhaps they purchased a C2D to run games or do work instead of running silly benchmarks.

U must be AMD fanboi

Perhaps you're just an irritating n00blet.

I do by chance use an AMD processor but it's my g/f's PC so I wanted something that wasn't going to overheat. My last PC was an Intel and my next is going to be an Intel.

As Prozac said SuperPi isn't used to strictly measure CPU performance so why bother?

You're wasting precious clock cycles where your computer could be doing something that's useful and justifies you actually purchasing it.

This has already been done in the Core 2 sticky thread. Here is the data that I collected:

conroeperflinear2pf.png

as you can see, it scales almost perfrectly linearly and shows no sign of stopping.

Coolaler currently holds the world record at 9.000 seconds flat:

PI isn't used to test stability...its a shitty stability test then if it is. I pass super PI at a high OC but fail Prime95 in 1 second. Some stability test. ANYWAY...currently at 19.5 sec.

E6400 OC to 2.92 Ghz
2 gigs o Corsair XMS2 6400
Standard SATA-150 7200 RPM WD (I want to get a raptor)
