uCode error

What i'm going to do to fix uCode error do i need to update my Bios co'z it's my firstime to encounter this error. My friend told me about uCode error he said that uCode error is about bios my bios is outdated and need to update but my cpu parts are all brandnew. So what i'm going to do hope you can help me....

You didnt give any specs on your rig but im going to guess you have a core 2 Duo and and Asus P5w Dh mobo. I got an email from Asus saying that its possible that a mobo with the 0701 bios may post but you may get a ucode error. Just update the bios and you should be fine If you have that mobo look at page 4-5 of the manual. There have been 2 bios updates since the 0701 bios

do i need to install my os first before i update the bios the model of my mobo is P5RD1VM. I HOPE U CAN HELP ME TNX A LOT.
