Open Settings > Memory. How much free memory (both storage and program)
do you have available?

I am having this same problem with my x50v. I have 12.39mb
storage and 15.71mb program memory free at the time that
bluetooth won't start up. I have to do a soft reset to
BlueTooth to turn on.

Not sure exactly what the issue is here, but it appears to be a software
glitch that hopefully will be addressed. I have the same issue and a soft
reset typically does allow BT to start. If that is not your experience I
would contact Dell support. I feel it is a software issue, not a memory one
as I have a PPCTechs Ram upgrade on my X50v and typically have more Free Ram
than most have altogether. It is unlikely that there is not enough for the
BT to start.

What Sven said + make sure WiFi is turned off when you use BT. And vice
versa when you use 802.11b (WiFi).

Hi Rick;

You will need to check with your device manufacture site to
see what your particular unit offers. I am at a loss of words for advice in
your situation.

Regards and best of luck,
