Markham (Ontario) - In the first test results compiled using Tom's Hardware Guide tests of relative graphics card performance, and average sale prices sampled yesterday by PriceGrabber, ATI-brand graphics cards led Nvidia across the board, with a few noteworthy exceptions. In our new projected price/performance curve for GPUs, ATI takes the lead in both the value and premium segments.

Does anyone know why the 7900GT has a better performance rating than the 7900GTX? The 7800GT/X also has this trend, anyone know the reason for this? As well, the X800XL is way overprice on that page, I like I'm Canada and I can get the X800XL at my local CanadaComputers for 129.99 CAD.

I believe that it is an error.

Tom's review clearly indicates that the 7900GTX performs at a higher level. Tom’s has been struggling recently in its graphic card review & data QC process. Data has been late & often inaccurate. I am hoping that they can get their act together. :(

It happens more than you'd expect around here.

Posting a topic from a THG article defaults to the memory forum ... or something like that.

More discussion on this topic exists elsewhere, but I can't find it at the moment.
It's probably in Home->Hardware->Memory :lol:
