Cannot delete DFS root

Hi there,

I had previously set up a DFS root on a w2K server. Since then the
server has been renamed and now when I am trying to remove the DFS
root an error pops up saying that it is unable to remove the DFs root
on 'old server name' and that the RPC server is unavailable. The root
replica is also of the form \\oldservername\dfs root

I am given the option to forcibly remove the root but this makes no
difference and it keeps reappearing when I use the 'display an
existing dfs root' option.

I need rid of this as I need to be able to set up a new DFS root on
this server and it won't let me do this until I get rid of the old
one.

Thanks in advance

Sean

Give this a try:

Give this more forceful approach a try:
