enabling long file names

I anm trying to install Norton's Live Update as part of
NAV, but I have been informed that I need to enable long
file name capability. How? I cannot locate it under file
options (unless I've gone blind) and I am at a loss where
else to look.

What file system are you using on the drive that you are trying to install?
