What can I do to turn the music down? I go to Options and turn it down, but
in a very short time it goes all the way up to high.

Thanks,
Ellen

You mean the volume?

I assume you're using mods with custom music. There's a glitch with the
"Streammusic" command:

Morrowind uses Windows to play music, this means that Morrowind can play ANY
file the Windows Media player is capable to play (including MID or WMV),
without caring about the details. But there's also a Backside: when you use
Streammusic, Morrowind's Music-Volume will be set to the Windows Media
Player's setting.

So to always have the same volume, you need to set MW's music at max and turn
down the volume in the Media-Player...

Some plugin is running a script that is turning the music volume back
up. Normally, you only need to set it once. You need to ascertain
which plugin is doing this. Alternatively, a riskier and more
heavy-handed method is to go through the morrowind directory and delete
all music mp3s.

Yes I'm using mods. I'll give what you said a try.
Thanks,
Ellen

I'm running Wizards Island. That is the mod that is turning the volume up.
