I like the X1800XT but for $84 after rebates I could have a X1900XT in hand. The downside is paying the upfront price of $375 now....

What card should I get?

EDIT: I'm open to nvidia cards too. :)

Both are great card, but the X1900XT is better. If you want to spend extra up-front, then go for the X1900XT. If you don't want/can't spend the extra now, go for the X1800XT.

Check out some of the THG benchmarks to see if performance increase is worth the larger upfront price. I mean, that's what the guides are there for!

Both are good cards, but if you're willing to spend that kind of money, have you considered waiting for DX10 cards? If you don't care to wait, I would go with the x1900.

I lost my sanity there. More realistic is...

X1800XT

-or-

7900GT?

I like Nvidia better because of Linux support but if the X1800XT is better...

If you got the cash, go for the x1900xt. If not, the x1800xt is still a magnificent card.
