blank screen @ boot...need help?!

Okay, my system is 2 years old and I built it myself. It works fine and everything except for 1 thing and it's finally really starting to bother me.

When I boot up I get the windows xp splash screen saying it's loading windows and then the screen goes blank (monitor goes into sleep mode, so no output from the card) and the computer does nothing. I am assuming it's the video card but would really like to pinpoint it and fix it because in order to get the thing to start I have to wait for the computer to "warm up" and then restart and everything works fine. Restarting from windows or the reset button does not cause this problem as long as the computer is rebooted from a running state. Any ideas at all? I've played with bios settings and tried various drivers for the card. You can get my PC stats from my sig.
