How do any of you keep your daily information? Do you use notes itself, or
put text into the colander entry for that meeting, etc?
Right now, I use a daily planner type system where everything I do that day
is written on that day's page. What equivalent system do you use that let's
you sync with the laptop?

if it is Notes that you are talking about look at Phatnotes. If it is
the whole diary look at Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion.
