i need to upgrade my PC with higer RAM
i have SDRAM of 168 pins, 100PCI
i have to 2 pcs of 128MB of SDRAM
in my PC there is lack of RAM slot, so can i connect two SDRAM with each other with use of several Wires and put one RAMmodule to one slot and it ditect 256MB, and work as power of 256MB
is any one has diagram of SDRAM so i can connect them with wires and i can save my MOtherboard one slot and use two rams in one slot
DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!! now that thats out of the way, there is no way to connect ram modules that way, you will most likely fry your motherboard and your ram, just get a 512-1 gig stick and swap out an old one
It would seem that you could in theory, but there are a million tiny little details that are in the way.
So no, don't even think about it. It might be fun for a project to try, but be warned that you would be playing with numerous issues: power, bus width, access time, latency of the actual chips, etc.
Save yourself the pain and possible explosion by buying some RAM that has more capacity.
I think you should just go and find yourself a new computer really..
PC100 ram is many years back and you'll find massive performance upgrades even for the small stuff with a 400 buck computer.
But to answer your question, no, that's impossible.
You'd need to reprogram the eeprom on the modules, and I'm pretty certain that, even if you'd succeed with soldering and reprogramming, the enormous length of one inch cables will make signal quality so bad, you'll get data corruption...
I do remember being able to buy little RAM Daughterboards that ment you could plug more modules into a single slot..... but my memory is a blur going that far back so it could well be in 30pin or 72pin SIMM days.

Yes, that's exactly what it was. Talk about a blast from the past!
