  3. nice rig.
  4. Nice, but why are you running quadro's? You into rendering or something? Wouldnt a pair of 7900GTX's or 1900XTX's Be better for gaming?

Oh and my rig is below, doesnt take much more explaining really....
  5. Holy cow, I want your rig doordand...besides the Quadro's those are not for a must be cad/solidworks/3ds max heavy.

  8. Let me guess, you went to newegg and picked the most expensive parts you could find?
  9. No, cause you see his mouse is an Logitech mx1000.....that's not the best/most expensive...the G7 would be on his list if he chose the most expensive/best. Also he is using Seagates....everyone knows that the WD1500's are the way to go.

    WD 80G Sata HD
    Leadtek TV/PVR/Capture card
    Pioneer DVD/rw
    Samsung 19" 997MB crt

    17717 score on 3DMark2001se compared with 12214 with same parts/gpu in Prescott 2.4/533 (o/c to 3.1mhz) and PE800-SE m/b old system.
  13. Thats a nice rig but your score on 3dmark2001 is really low(my old build breaks 21,000marks...from what I can remember)... most likely 3dmark 2001 is inaccurate for measuring pc performance with dual core processors, howabought showing a 3dmark score on 2005.

  18. Just upgraded through a great deal on Newegg from this old thing:

    2600+ barton 2x512 ddr400
    9800 pro
    160 gb seagate
    250gb seagate
    30 gb maxtor
    30 gb seagate

sold the old mobo and cpu and some old memory for 70 and got the cpu and mobo upgrade for 99.

    to this relatively new thing:
    s754 3400+ venice core E3 stepping (2.4GHz)
    biostar mobo
x850pro trying to upgrade to xt speeds using the lasercut mod.

    same hard drives
  19. OMG....i want this

make sure to turn off the volume...or you'll go insane.
  20. This is what I have. I would however like to hear from someone else that has a similar build that has gotten some successful OC's with it. I'm a lil confused :? as to which timings to oc in many

EDIT; I'm interested in the ram timings since they don't appear in sequence the way ram timings are stated ( ie 2 3 2 6 1T)

The same goes for my cpu. If anyone has any similar clock speeds and volts that they could pass along would be much appreciated.

  21. Stupid and ridiculous to spend so much just to play World of Warcraft!
  22. The funny thing is....his monitor alone is over $2000. I doubt that really is his rig....until i see pics and 3dmark05 benchmarks...i won't believe it
  23. if doordand made that he has alot of money to spend. but i think its B?S

but you never know how crazy poeple are. :P
    8) proof it
  24. Many of my system specs are in my sig, but for a complete rundown:

I know, some will have comments on the Aspire psu, but it has worked well for me. CPU and Graphics card are overclocked.
  25. asus a8nsli deluxe
    3700 sandy core
    4 corsair xms 512s soon to be 2 512s
68gts in sli soon to be one
    antec tp2.0 550watt
    100 gb maxtor hd
ac freezer for cpu and one 68gt
i have another ac cooler for the gpu it wont fit the bottom card
dell 19inch monitor and 32inch sony hdtv <cant get the tv to work in sli>

68gts in sli = to much heat
i am going to split them up and make 2 computers
as i have 2 coolers for them and they <68gts> play all games pretty good

going to 2 512s will be the biggest downfall as opposed to 4
but i will have 2 computers that will work just fine instead of one

  27. AMD Atholn (64) 3200+ (Venice)

    Sempron 2200+
    gf 4 mx 440

  28. my rig is listed in my sig, but right now im on the laptop i bought for the family to keep them off mine.

What did you trade that badass in for?!?!?!? Sempron 2200+ all the way! Wow, I have a GF4MX440 as well, so I know how much you're missing out on with that PoS new system

And my PowerBook will pwn all of your PCs.
  30. The last seven (yes 7) in the house are:

    DFI Expert
    Optron 146 (OC to 3Ghz)
    G.Skill USU2-4000-2GBHZ
    PC P&C 510 ASL
    XFX 7900GT
    Thermalright SI-120
    Silverstone FM-121 (cooler and case)
Coolermaster Stacker (with rear fan guard removed) and Crossflow fan.

I also have the top fan turned upside down and a posterboard duct so the PSU only gets cool outside air. I never let any builds use the PSU as a case cooler!

CPU's run 2C over room temps and the GFX run 10C over room temps....after an hour of benchmarks the CPU goes up 1C and the GFX 3C more
The PSU is just warm enough to notice with a hand in front of the exit air.
  31. Napoli-2 Motherboard
    Intel Katmai Pentium 3 500mhz Slot1
    64 MB pc100 ram
    60GB Hard drive
    nVidia Riva TNT2 Model64
    Windows XP

is what I had until quite recently, where I got a (cough) upgrade (I salvaged bits of my brothers old computer)

    Current system:

    Asus Cusl2 Mobo
    Intel P3 Coppermine 800eb Mhz Socket 370
    512MB pc100 ram
    60 GB Hard drive
ATI Rage Fury Maxx (Faster than the TNT2, but a lot more unreliable)
Windows 98SE (Rage fury maxx doesn't work on XP)
  32. LOL...I went from an HP 9795c (1.4ghz, 512MB, 60 gig) to an E6600 system recently. What a difference!!! My system is earlier in this thread. Got mine to 3.05ghz on stock voltage...plan to get it to at least 3.6 eventually
  33. Probably just out of curiousity. I find it interesting to see what other people are running. Mine is in the sig.

i love my PoS system that i have now  and the 2200+ was great but i need to move up and this was the best i could get.. plus i got really sick and tired of the mx440 ... with its dx7!

How did you run windows xp on that system? 64mb ram? I can barely run xp on my system ( see sig for specs ) and it is way better than that one. I actually gave up on win xp because it was so slow and went to win2k wich is way faster.

    It runs games good? lol
  41. In another post I also mentioned that i had run out oif money and it was my intention to get the C2D EE. So, now that I have it, why wouldn't I post it?
  42. It added about an inch to my e-penis. One for the extra core.
  43. My new gaming system:

    Intel C2D x6800 Extreme
Asus P5NSLI Nforce 570 (just a temp till the 590 boards come out)
    OCZ Platinum PC7200 2gb w/EPP

    MS Natural Keyboard
Logitech THX Certified 5.1 Surround speakers
    Trendnet 106mbit Wireless nic.
  44. Yes, it barely ran Windows XP at all, but it managed to. Slow beyond belief, barely enough resources to run many games.
  45. Like I said Doordand.....until i see a few links (or perhaps a website) showing of screenshots of your entire build (monitor included)....and a screenshot of your score in 3dmark 05 I won't believe it.

You get no inches to your e-peen until you show everyone the proof.

Also the fact that you chose quadro cards for that build...makes me really want to question you. Because if that was really your would be a gaming rig with gaming graphics cards....not a graphics workstation.

So until i see proof....your bluffing.
  46. Just for the record my system really exists! lol

  47. Biostar M7NCG 400 mobo

    uhhh a DVD bruner?
nothing really to brag about here
  48. My system is in my sig, going to build an Xeon workstation soon tho.

I call BS on doordands rig untill he shows some proof, as in pics and benchmark scores.
