IDE Problem

running a IDE dvd burner and an IDE Hdd (which i use for my media)
the cable provided by gigabyte is not long enough connect to the burner and the hdd. (gap between the 2 ide conectors on the cable)

what can i do? as there is only one IDE conector on the board i cant just add another cable... or could i use the floppy connector with an ide connector?

any help appreciated

The floppy connector isn't going to work, even if it was the same size it goes to a completely different controller on the mobo. You need to go to a computer store that carries a variety of cables and pick up one that is longer - I'm not sure who carries them online, I have boxes of spare parts and usually can make something work.
