Hello again Forumz!

The "problem" I'm having occurs when I shut down Windows. Windows seems to shut down and the monitor goes to stand by as usual, but my case fans and case lights do not power down. I have to manually hit the switch in the back of the power supply to get it to power off completely. Any ideas??

Here's my specs:
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI
CPU: Intel Pentium 805D overclocked to 3.4GHz
RAM: 2GIGS DDR-2 666Mhz
HARD DISK: Maxtor 200GIG SATA drive
POWER SUPPLY: RaidMax 450WATT (came with the case)
OS: Windows XP with Service Pack 2

Thanks for any suggestions..

Most likely some driver is not "letting go" at the shut down command.
Try booting into safe mode and see if it shuts down normally from there.

Also, try reseating your RAM and your vid card - this has worked for me in the past.

In the "Power Options" in the control panel, uncheck "Enable Hibernation", and check your power and sleep settings in your BIOS.

Finally, make sure you download the latest Windows updates, BIOS and even vid card drivers.

This problem can be a little tricky. If none of the above work, try checking here:

or try a forced-shutdown program like:

My problem was similar. On shutdown it would do everything like a normal shutdown but after the power clicked off the system would restart.
Check the power management in your BIOS, disable all "wake on" settings. This resolved my problem. If that doesn't help, check here for more info.
