I have a older system, XFX7600 GT, 3800X2@2.6ghz 1:1, 2gb OCZ PC4000, 520 Power Stream, running on DFI SLI-DR mobo. CPU-Z reads my PCIe lane my 7600 is on at 8x, would I really notice any difference putting it on 16x? I don't have a second 7600 right now, i'm saving for a strong DX10 card, since even in SLI most DX9 cards won't perform well, just like every other DX transition. Since I already have a dual core with good oc, my cpu should be ok for midrange system for at least a year yet. Anyhow, just wondering if i should bother trying to set it to 16x or if it doesn't make a difference i'll just leave it.

computers are still very gpu limted, until the graphics processor has a big advance you wont see any difference in 8x -> 16x
