Disabling the hyperpath 3??

hey guys how do i disable the hyperpath 3 on a gigabyte ds3 mobo

i tried looking for it in my bios but cant find it...need help thanks

ok thanks...

well my problem was not being able to OC pass 320 FSB...some1 told me to disable my hyperpath 3...if i cant do that does it mean i cant OC pass 320 FSB??

Like Wusy says without more info we cant really say.

I dont know that motherboard myself, but be aware that when alot of motherboards set the RAM speed they simply set one fixed divider.

If I set my old ASRock motherboard to DDR2-667 and then increased the FSB from 133-166, the BIOS would still say DDR2-667, but in actual fact it would be running at DDR2-830 speeds, and I'd need to increase the CAS latencies.

While trying to find your max CPU overclock its a good idea to eliminate other components as possible limitations. If the board supports it the PCI-e/PCI buses should be locked, and the RAM should be running at the lowest speed and highest latencies the board supports. Once you then hit the overclocking ceiling, you speed the ram back up and tighten the timings untill its at its peak again.
