My vid card running a little hotter than usual???

Hey fellas I have a BFG 7800gt oc and when I first installed the graphics card the temp on the card was usually about low to high 30c. But now it's running a little hotter, somewhere around low 40's c to 50's c? Can anyone help me out why this is happening? Any info would be great. Thanks. :twisted:

Have you tried remove any built-up dust that accumulates on the GFX heatsink/fan? It could be building up, and causing heat build-up.

Also, it could be that the heatsink thermal compound may be dried up, but fixing that would require taking the heatsink off and putting new compound on. This is not something I would recommend until after you cleaned the GFX card off.
