I'm having a bit of graphical instability in the UI of the architectural design software we use at work. I thought perhaps using a non-Aero theme (no animations or transparency nonsense) would help. So I tried changing to a different "standard" theme, but then suddenly the contents of my left (primary) display had an "edge bleed" problem where the maximized window contents on that screen would bleed over about 10 pixels onto my right screen. These are both Dell Ultrasharp 19" 1280x1024 LCD displays.
so why disable aero? it works 100% and has been proven to be quicker in games when left on?
See my post above. We use Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 in our office, and the ribbon display (new in 2010, similar to Office '07+ ribbon) seems to have some graphical instability that wasn't there in XP Pro x86. Sometimes the ribbon will disappear, then reappear when I move my mouse over it. Someone on the Revit forums suggested disabling Aero, but then I get the "bleeding edge" problem I described.
Tried switching to 75 Hz refresh (only rate my displays support other than 60) but still the same issue.
