I read be4 to an article that its o.k. to put a two different card together in sli, but then I started reading its not a good idea... My ??? is, is it better now to use two different card since the driver is alot better now than be4... by the way the card i"m planning to use are xfx geforce 6600 le 256 (no bridge connector) and a PNY Technologies nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 512 (has a bridge connector) sli is going to be done thru software and i have a ASUS P5ND2 MOTHERBOARD which it only do X8 on each pci express

You can have different brands, you can't have different GPUs. Meaning, a 6600 and 7600GS will not work in SLI.

You can use two different brands; they just have to be the same GPU. I think that they might need to be the same clock speeds, as well.
