I can help you with your poll.
The majority of THGC members use AMD processors.
Why?
THGC members want the best price/performance ratio.
I have my system built for performance and it occassionally locks up. After investigating the mysterious lock ups I have found no program errors or system troubles logged. Therefore I am suspecting my cpu is locking up with a data prefetch error.
When it locks up nothing works. I press control alt delete and my system restarts. I check the logs and no errors are found with software, hardware or security. And it has only occurred since I swapped out my P4 Willy for a P4 Northwood. I hope it's a bios problem that will be addressed in the next bios release for my motherboard.
I almost forgot the point I wanted to make.
It doesn't matter if you like AMD or Intel. They both have benifits and they both have flaws. I think Intel just hides them better and when they're found out they have the same spin doctors the Whitehouse uses to cover them up.

That has nothing to do with this poll. Please don't start something. I want everyone who can to vote in here. I don't want discussions on "who's best" or "my Dad's bigger than your Dad."
~ What do you mean "It isn't working!"...Now where's my sonic screwdriver? ~
I use a classic Pentium 133mhz while dad uses a P3 450mhz and little brother uses a AXP 1600+. I'm still waiting to see what my next cpu I should get, maybe this X-mas.
