my mobo beeps !

suddenly the system freezed
i presed reset and i heared these beeps
long short short
my mobo is Gigabyte GA-8I848P(-G)
i cant find the manual now and it wont download from the site

EDIT: the rest of the system
Intel Pentium 4, 2800 MHz (prescott)
2*512 Kingston DDR 400
Radeon 9200SE (128 mb)

any help !

There's no official standard on POST beep codes, but if its an AWARD BIOS (or fairly "standard") then its a video card error beep; is your video card seated properly, getting power, all that jazz?

well i went to power the computer up again and i heard infinite short beeps !!!!
what's goin on

Infinite repeating short beeps = memory error; check seating, try just one stick, try 'em in a different order. Try it without ram to see if the beeps change. Try some different ram out of a mates machine (pref. the same spec) to see if it *is* ram.

now its RAM
i reinstalled them and the PC worked fine
