I notice the tomshardware article doesnt mention what paste is used, or i just missed it entirely. I read some places that the zalman thermal grease that comes with the cnps9500 is terrible, i am considering using arctic silver 5.

Comments , opinons, experiences ?

i have used zalman and it is ok
AS5 is definetly the most popukar and most used for best results. it will be a couple degrees less than other standard white non-silver grease.

I heard there are other metal based ones better than as5 but r expensive though. if sum1 knows plz post.

just get AS5. you cant go wrong with it

Arctic Silver 5 is definitely the most popular, however...

If you have steady hands and want a hardcore overclock then there is only one thermal paste FTW

Coollaboratory Liquid Pro... it demolishes AS5, its just tricky to apply

Word for the wise...do NOT use it with an Aluminium heatsink, as gallium in the liquid will attack the metal. Copper FTW.
