TG Publishing, the publisher of Tom's Hardware Guide, has been sold. We expect the deal to close this month, and will make an official announcement at the appropriate time. We believe that there are some very exciting times ahead for the company, and that our readers have a lot to look forward to. I hope that I can share our expectations with you shortly.

We received an email from Omid Rahmat, CEO of Tom's Publishing LLC confirming a sale.

Omid said: "The rumors flying around are less than accurate. I can only comment on one point, and I do so reluctantly, hoping to avoid more ridiculous rumors.

The word on the street is the buyer is French firm Best of Media, and that negotations have gone on for some months. Selling price .. $15 million to $20 million.

Funny how another site has the news before THW!!

You are forgiven. Let's go diving, it's almost that time of year! Water is nice and cool, little plant growth, fish are active, no algae, visibility is amazing...

Reply to tool_462

Hey bro, I'm ready! you, my brother and I need to plan a getaway if your down. Are you SSI or PADI?

Reply to Everett

SSI Passport Diver  It was a class in school and cost me $150 for all the equipment and classes so I thought it was pretty cool. I am technically supposed to dive with a certified dive leader but I wouldn't say I need that supervision.

Reply to tool_462

we need to get ALL of our gear recertified.
our tanks need to be eddy tested.

i need a new batt. for my cobra.

i think you need all the supervision you can get.

That is one thing I want to get into more when I get the money. Some very cool lakes/mine pits I would like to check out around here :)

Refer me to a decent site to look at how much a full setup would cost? I don't even have a wet suit that fits anymore since I started working out heavily.

I think another trip to Cozumel is in order, what do you guy's think? I will get ahold of keith at the travel shop, the more people the cheaper. Also the best time to go is around October. That would give everyone time to sort things out if you guy's want to.

you might have seen this alrerady, but it is pretty cool anyway.

Reply to sirheck

Yeah sure, on your credit card right?

I've been aching to travel somewhere, everyone is going to Mexico and stuff the last couple weeks for spring break, I sit here and work to try to pay my tuition... I guess thats what I get for going to this school, costs too much for self-payers like myself and costs just enough for rich punks to have mommy and daddy pay for everything.

Reply to tool_462

I wish mommy and daddy would pay too, and as for the credit card
I'm a workin man just like you. That's why it is so cool when you save up yourself and go, it just means so much more.

Reply to Everett

I'm workin on it :) Girlfriend has been wanting to go on a trip for a couple years and I keep saying "wait till next year when we have money" and it just isnt happening while I'm in school. Maybe I should start selling wood cases...

The 5th one down, it's not too bad. I Might even be able to get it cheaper through keith.

Click your own link in a different window... comes up to a page with nothing specific.

Reply to tool_462

I can still wear my pants from 9th-10th grade, they are just a little short. Not as baggy as they were but they button comfortably :D

Reply to tool_462

I wear a size 34 waist

Wish i could wear size 30 like in highschool.

Reply to sirheck

I wear a 34 too :( It's sad that when I do BMI calculations based on height/weight it says I am well into the "obese" category. Even though my body fat % is in "athletic" range...

Reply to tool_462

So can you still fit in your prom dress???
