I installed win 2000 and forgot to unomcpress my d:drive.
win 2000 create four files (drvspace.000, ffastun,
ffastun0, ffastun.ffo). I am uncable to access these
files. Can anyone help me. I badly need these files.

Hi, jyonga.

Drvspace and its cousins (dblspace, etc.) don't work at all with NT-based
versions of Windows. You'll need to use the Win9x/ME version that
compressed those files, running Drvspace from there to uncompress them to
some drive formatted FAT (or FAT32). Then you can use Win2K to access them.

Depending on what hardware resources you have available, it might be easier
to swap that hard drive into a different computer running Win9x/ME to do the
uncompression, then bring the uncompressed files back to your Win2K machine.
To do it all on one computer would require reinstalling Win9x/ME - which
would then require you to reinstall (or at least repair) Win2K after the
uncompression.
