computer turns off after powerup

i have an amd computer socket 3 i think, and when i power it on it startsup and goes through the mem test then shuts off. no beeps or windows load or anything, cant get into bios or settings

Any suggestions

Probably a k6-2 cpu. I would start by resetting the bios. Remove the board battery for a few seconds. You can also replace it for about $2. You may also have a weak power supply. I just picked up one at Fry's that was free after rebate (ultra-v 400w). All it cost me was the sales tax. It's still on sale through today.
