Cassiopeia E-125 Help

I've had an E-125 functioning smoothly for 4 years. Recently on
turning it on the screen remains dark but I can faintly (very faintly)
see the programmes which appear to work. Several minutes later the
screen returns to its normal brightness. Sometimes this lasts until I
turn it off and sometimes it returns to its dark screen and won't come
right. It is always fully charged when this happens.
So I'm interested how long does the battery that came with it last?
and is this an expensive item to replace? Thanks for any advice.

Well I had mine for three years and the batteries finally wouldn't take a charge, but I'm not sure that's the problem you're seeing. Could be a problem with your screen as well. As I remember the batteries were around 50 bucks and I finally used that as an excuse to upgrade, ended up buying and ipaq 5550 about a year ago. Was totally blown away with the enhanced processing speed (I have a home media server and the ipaq can stream video with the best of them. Built in Bluetooth and Wifi is a lot more convenient as well. When you and I purchased the casio 4 years ago it was the top of the line, I thought the 5550 was the top of the line a year ago and plan to get at least 2 more years out of it. Can't imagine what the top of the line is now. I think it is time for an upgrade, you're due man! What would you pick?

Thanks for replying Brian. Yep, it's stopped lighting up at all now but in
the dark background I can work all the programs - not usuable anymore. Can
see it's fully charged. As you say 'was top of the line' and I am up for an
upgrade...checking ipaqs:-) Have to say it hasn't faltered in 4 years til
now. Good service:-)
