Question about files on IPAQ 194x

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.pocketpc (More info?)

On my IPAQ I have a very large amount of files I can not figure out what
they are. They are all located under the windows/messaging directory and
have the extension of *.mpb. Under the windows/messaging/attachments
directory there is a large amount of files with the extension of *.att.

Can someone please tell me what these files are and if they can be deleted?
