Greetings,
im curious about something, i have a A8N-SLI Premium mother board, but im wondering if its possible to use the the x16 pci express slot that is not used for a graphics card for a controller like this one?
MegaRAID SCSI 320-2E - 2Ch, U320, PCI Express, 128MB

I dont know if the SLI pci express slots are limited in anyway

PCI Express slots and cards come in different physical lengths with differing numbers of contact pins (x1, x4, x8, x16). You can fit a smaller length (like a 4x) card into a longer slot (like 16x) but not the other way around though. A 1x slot only works with 1x PCIe cards but a 16x slot will accept any PCIe card below 16x.
