i know you all will probably kill me for this post but i have go to ask.
which motherboard should i get? I am planning on going with an Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor 2.4GHz Socket AM2. I would like to get it from newegg just because that is where i am wanting to get everything else and for ordering reasons. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you plan to overclock? If yes, then you must buy a ASUS or a DFI mobo.
