start up problems

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.file_system (More info?)

When I try to turn on my computer, I receive and error
meesage which tell me registery cannot load hive: system
root/system 32/config/software. How can I correct this
problem

Do you have a system state backup?
Have you tried booting to Last Known Good on the advanced menu?
