Are there any other things that can damage a device other than overheating, when overclocking?

If I overclock a processor, as long as temperatures stay at a resonable level, it should be stable no matter how high I clock it, right?

Increasing you CPU's core voltage is what allows you to really OC, and that (and the heat over-volting creates) is what can kill your CPU.
If you don’t over-volt you should be fine. If you do OV, be careful and read-up on other attempts first.
