Hello everybody,

I have the following situation:

Win2kServer with RAID5 main drive
Database application does not work with DFS/FRS

Since we had a big crash due to HW problems in the RAID system (Hotspare
doesn't help in that case), we think about another way to mirror the drive.

If I mirror the RAID array to a single IDE drive, does this reduce the
performance to the IDE level?

Is there a tool that emulates a Hard disk on a system (so it can act as a
mirror) with this Disk being a networ share? Of course there is again the
question of performance restrictions.

Thanks for reading
