Hi Guyz!

Can someone pls tell me if the cooler which comes with the EE6600 is good enough. I'm probably going to overclock my machine.

Where is the limit with overclocking using the stock cooler? @3.5Ghz?

Also whats a good passive cooler for EE6600 which is not too expensive and whats the overclocking limit with that perticualar passive cooler?

thanks in advance for replies.

overclocking limit=whatever your components can get off

dont go above 60C on full load is a good idea on seeing if your cooling is good enough.

Dump the stock cooler. For $50 you can get a good HSF and AS5. Check out the Overclockers-CPU forum Stcky on OCing Conroe. Wusy gives some great advice on HSF's.

My Rig:
Core 2 Duo X6800 Conroe (Stock Clock for now)
Intel D975XBXLRK - 304
Thermaltake Big Typhoon HSF
2 GB Corsair Pro PC6400 4-4-4-15
ATI X1900XTX
74GB 10K Raptor HD
Soundblaster Audigy 2 SZ
NEC OEM DVD Burners (x2)
Gigabyte 3D Aurora Case
Ultra X-Finity 600W SLi Certified PSU
