disk cleanup will not finish

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.file_system (More info?)

it seems to just freezes during the file compression
piece. I am also receiving an error when I try to deleted
my tmeporary internet files....

"error deleting file or folder
cannot find the specified file"

any ideas?
