Spare me the ATI vs Nvidia battle, I just have a couple of questions.

I just got my new system yesterday and I am having massive heat problems with my GPU. It was running at about 78-84 with a dual 19" LCD setup. That's Celcius. So I opened my case and realized there was zero space between my GPUs and my soundcard. I moved it and I was forced to leave the side of my case off and put a manual fan (LOLOL) aimed directly at the GPUs.

Running fully 3D applications at max settings like before, I am not getting a temp of about 53-60 Celcius.

My questions are as follows:

Is it my case (Masker Red)?
Is it a poor heat design for the 7950?

What is the best method to solve it?

Thanks guys.

The 7950 shouldnt be running that warm.

There mobile chips so.................. :?:

Just get some better air flow in between the PCB's and maybe a PCI fan to exhaust the heat out of the bottom of the case.

Ya, I figured it was a lack of flow from my poor choice of case. I will examine my options.

Thanks.
