I have an old DELL 8200 with 2 sticks of SAMSUNG PC800 RDRAM,
Part # MR16R 1628AFO-CM8

I want to get 2 more 128 sticks of this:
SAMSUNG 256 MB RD RAM Rambus (2 x 128 MB) PC800 ECC
Part # MR18R 1624AF0-CK8 800-45 ECC.

Question is i know they are both RDRAM, and i need 2 sticks of it to work, and they are the same module speed (PC800)....will the news ones be compatible with the stock ones even though they have different part numbers?

Thanks!!

Google is your friend. With a couple of quick searches, it appears to me that your original RDRAM may NOT be ECC, while the stuff you want to buy clearly IS ECC. I'd check with Dell to find out what types of RDRAM are compatible with your PC, whether or not you can mix speeds, and whether or not you can mix ECC w/non-ECC. Also, most memory vendors should be able to tell you which of their items will work in your computer, and give some sort of guarantee to that effect. Hit the web sites, then hit the phone lines! Good luck!
