Well I have no sound card because face it Onboard has come a long way. Plus I'm useing a reciever instead of some cheap computer setup. In my time I have bought the Logitech X-530s for listening to my music and it wasn't working for me. Like my friends say I abuse my setups. I would play my X-530s as loud as possible and it wasn't loud enough. I like to jam and I love to piss my neighbors off with my music. I even had the Klipsh Promedia Ultra and that was loud enough and had good quality for a little while. Two months rolled by and boom a speaker blew. So my advice to all of you if you want good sound quality and you want to piss your neighbors off. Go with a reciever and your own speakers and such. I'm a big computer gamer as well and I haven't used my Headphones in probabbly 3 weeks since I got this. I still here every little thing (footsteps and pinned grenades). Now I can easly tell which direction the sound came from due to the 5.1 instead of just 2 headphones.

Honestly if you want to piss your neighbors off, listen to music loudly, and have good sound quality, go with the Logitech Z-5500s. I own a set of those paired with a X-Fi Music. I blast my music all the time and nothing has gone wrong. A few neighbors have complained to my parents, and a few others have asked them if I was in a band (which I'm not, I just play music loudly). I never have it over half volume because it's too loud lol, and then after you turn it up all the way there's 11 boost mode levels which I have never used, I'd go deaf haha. 1010 watts peak will definitely piss your neighbors off.
