I think this is the best portable laptop under 700CAD.

128MB Shared ATI Radeon Xpress 200M IGP
This is the graphics that this laptop has.
Does anyone know if this can play Counter Strike 1.6 well?
and is Vista capable???

is the GMA900 better than Xpress 200m?
[/b]
Also, which of the moblie processors are capable of 64-bit.
Celeron M?
Centrino? (Pentium M + 8xx chipset + Wireless Pro)
How about the Sempron in the laptop i chose?

Thanks.
and also if anyone knows a good value laptop that plays CS1.6 perfectly under $700 CADmax. That would be appreciated.

More about : performance laptop

CS 1.6 Hell my dad's old Go440MX could do that no problems.

You should be fine.

Side note: I cant believe how the CND$ has climbed against the USA$. what, are we living in a bunker now. Come on Bush.

i blame the schools

as for cs1.6 youll have no problem

is it vista ready? well you might have to call up future shop and ask them cause i see nuthin on that page indicating it is

oh, as for the 64 bit question, why do you need 64 bit?

Wait for an Intel fanboy to answer bout their stuff

The septy CPU does not support 64 bit IIRC.

The new new ones I think do, but that may only apply for desktop chips.

because that would at least make me feel like the laptop modern.

And I also want to run vista if possible.

I thought geforce 440 is better than the xpress :S

Should i go for a gma900 or that?

i've seen an article about a laptop with ati xpress 200m and the guy said it's like a x300

Ya know, just because you have a 64 bit CPU doesnt mean you have to install a 64-bit OS.

In fact there really is no performance increase from installing XP 64 bit, Maybe vista, but we wont know till they do benchmarks. My .02cents.
