So, what the heck chart should one pay attention to?

I came across a decent deal on a 7950 and was interested in buying it, remembering that the initial review showed it some favour. When I checked the VGA Charts to see how much of a difference I would actually be getting over my 7800GT, the numbers were different than the ones in the review. Now the games used to becnhmark have changed as well, but why the difference in the games that have not? And a fairly substantail difference at some resolutions. The initial review shows the 7950 keeping up to a X1900XTX. The charts show the XTX quite a bit ahead. I hate inconsistency, especially where decisions involving small fortunes are concerned. 8O

The 7950 is more powerful than the X1900 XTX, but only if you play at superhigh resolutions and with AA applied.

At lower resolutions (1280x1024 or less) with no AA, the X1900 XTX will beat it.

The best card for the money right now is probably the X1900 XT or X1900 XTX right now...
