:?: Have two sata hard drives. The latest is a Maxtor 7y250m0 250 gig. The second is also Maxtor 200gig.
Problem is that neither drive is formated to its full capacity. They only reach 127gig. I've heard it could be a bios problem that needs to be updated.

What did you format it to? What program did you use to format it with.

The easiest way out is to download the manufacturer's software from the website and use their brainless app to format the disk to its full capacity. That should really tell you if you did something wrong or not...
